About the DepInsideOut Team
We are a group of students participating in the MacEngaged initiative project at McMaster University. Our main goal is to take what we learn about neuroscience into our community in a meaningful way.
We decided to use the opportunity given to us through this MacEngaged project to increase awareness about depression in our student community.

I am a third year student in the Life Sciences program at McMaster University. I have a passion for the medical field and particularly neuroscience. The brain is an amazing organ with so many profound abilities that have yet to be discovered. At the same time, there are so many illnesses that can plague the brain and the mind. I hope to one day use my passion to help people through the field of neurology.

I am a second year student at McMaster University. I currently study Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour (PNB), which is a course that focuses on the study of the human brain and human behaviour. I am fascinated by the neural mechanisms of the brain. After my undergrad I hope to obtain a degree in audiology and work as an audiologist, preferably in a hospital setting, helping those with hearing deficits.

I am in my second year in the Life Sciences program at McMaster. Throughout this project, I was humbled by the stories I listened to and inspired by the people who shared their experiences with my group. I’m interested in mental health and hope to pursue clinical psychology after my undergrad.
